Flywheel peephole cover fix

Post by sstein »

y'know that little PITA black plastic cap that closes the flywheel view port on the RHS behind the throttle body? Well I lost that little cap. So...I had replaced the oil fill-cap from the valve cover and kept the old one, so I took the cap from the old one, filed a bit off one of the plastic tabs that secures it to its base, and jammed it into the view port opening. Works great! And looks much better...

can you take a photo?? The oil filler cap is quite a lot larger than that sight-hole, isn't it??

Yes, would love to post the photos. What is best practice for posting photos?

Never noticed one before in my black engine casing. Had to drag my fingernail across and found the invisible bung as a soft bit in the housing.
