I'm also going . . . and trying to figure out whether the Lake Michigan ferry is my future.

If you take the ferry, I would suggest bringing some tie downs. You never know if they have enough until you are on the boat.

Well, I was told to go by myself if I really wanted to last weekend, OU812 heard it too. My wife doesn't like camping or big crowds of people for any length of time.

But the Sherpa service is booked and any rooms close enough are either booked or cost more than I want to pay. Oh well, too much procrastination.

Well lets see... it's about 3.5 hours away, if I leave Saturday at 6:00am. I could get there by 10:00, rally till 5:00 or so, and get home by 9:00-9:30. $35.00 for one day...hmmmm. I'll have to think (or procrastinate) about that one too!

Mark, we will be at the Baymont Inn suites the Wed. night before the rally opens. Bring your tent, sleeping bag, and your drinking elbow.

Thanks for the offer Herb,

1. No tent, I'm not a camper either. (forgot to mention that)
2. Where is the Baymont Inn?

I'll be there and arriving Thursday too! :D Test rides - here we come

OU812 got his Sherpa upgraded to a 2-man and I got the parental arrangements in order yesterday. Who says you need to plan everything in advance? :P

sjbmw, if Sherpa Ted messes up, I'll be hunting you down

Me and the Missus will be there with bells on. Catching the 4:45p Wednesday Ferry from Muskegon. Camping on site, will look for the Jolly Roger. Does anyone know if you can setup camp Wednesday night or you cant get in until Thursday morn?

No early arrivals....
So far me, challey, and TonyT607 are on the same ferry, and we are checking in to the Baymont Inn north of Milwaukee Wed night.

Ah, very cool. I just fired off an email to the Volunteer coordinator to offer our services Thursday morning. If they need the help it's a win-win, this being my first Rally I should pay my dues anyway, and volunteers get in early. Maybe I'll see you guys on the Ferry. We will be one of the few Green Rocksters attending (I imagine anyway).

Josh, we'll look for you on the 4:45 ferry. sjbmw (Herb) has a Red Roadster, I have a blue/black R1200ST, and another buddy, Tony L, has a Charcoal K1200RS.

We'll make sure to exchange mobile numbers before Departure Day.

Old herniated disc decided to act up in a BIG way last month. Still have some leg pain...gotta take it WAY easy. A big trip on the bike is not recommended. Would really suck if it acted up again while I was on the road, hundreds of miles from home.

Haven't taken the ride out since the week after I got back from Bash 2007.

sucks!

Scotty that's a major bummer. We'll sure miss you. Feel better soon so we can get some riding in this summer. What's your prognosis ? Are you getting any kind of treatment/therapy ? Is surgery in the cards ? BTW I feel 100% three months after my 'little' procedure...Tony K bike and I took a ride last week (4.5 hours) and no complaints from me at all.
