On the subject of spot lights...the otherwise excellent GS lights don't illuminate the apex of the corner when leaning! So if ever there was a case for them...

Thanks fnfalman, think I'll give some of those Metzlerellis a try.

The tyre dealer said sports tyres had no place on a bike with the weight, torque and engine braking of the Rockster...and I've enrolled on a Police training course to deal with the other wear issues

Tyre pressures okay and the roads are not warm here yet. I think the problem is with the type of riding: lots of short leisure runs ridden enthusiastically - so not clocking any miles on a steady throttle. The Boxer twin is a bit lifeless until opened up then the thrust of the bike is staggering. It...

Mixing Tyres?

I don't suppose a bike with the weight and torque of the Rockster is going to go easy on sports rubber (Pilot Sports) - but 1,000 miles tyre life! Of course I don't want another one of those and as the front is good my question is...can I mix a sport touring rear with the sports front to get the lon...

when I recently picked up my used rockster it had the low seat on it. I couldn't get on with this at all at 5'9'' (but used to big trailies) - too cramped and poor ergos in relation to the Rockster bars. I was planning aftermarket everything - pegs, seat, bars and risers. But tried a used tall seat ...

I think the market is giving the Rockster a beasting at the moment. Too hardcore for trad Beemer fans, not silly enough for sporting hedge holers. The main dealers seem to be discounting them quite heavily and aren't shifting used ones easily. For what its worth I just bought my 2 year old 5500 mile...

'Edition 80' it is the white Rockster special to celebrate 80 years of Boxer twins in 2003. Check out Toner's pics. No difference as far as I can tell from other Rocks but has ABS and heated grips as standard. Apparently they turn cream in the sun according to other threads on this forum which is a ...

How chuffed!

Picked up my edn 80 on the weekend and put a few miles in even though bl**dy freezing here in Wales. First impressions are - why don't more peeps ride these bikes? Handles, pulls like a train up to the ton, beutifully made, and quite cheap now...Before the test ride I was given a long telling to by ...
