Update:

Turns out I had the two hoses coming from the filler neck switched. I switched them back, instsalled the tank and she fired right up. Haven't gone on a ride yet so I don't know if I have just temporarily masked another problem. I wil keep you informed.

Thanks for the suggestions. Have not checked the fuel injectors yet. Next thing on my list.

What is the hall sensors and where is it located? What is its purpose?

Update: I checked for spark and I am good there. I the fuel pump in running. Pulled the tank and checked the hoses inside the tank and they are all intact. No diesel, good gas from Mobil. Just another though. Does anyone know of any engine issues that may result from a front end collision...seeing as how it is an integral part of the frame?

Thanks for the replies everyone. This is a tough one. I have rebuilt japanese bikes before so I am not unfamiliar with the mechanics of it but I admit I have very little knowledge about BMWs.
