Ron Yes thats the way I have fitted mine. Note: if you use a battery charger via the 12 volt socket you will find that it wont work with the autocom wired in . So I have fitted a removeable 3 amp fuse (halfords) which I put in line on the red autocom live cable. Remove the fuse when trickle charging...

I have the same problem with my autocom unit. I have been advised to insert a removable fuse on the power lead (which is connected to the power outlet below seat) to the autocom unit, which acts as switch. So I disconnect the autocom unit when using the charger.

Has anyone any experience of installing an autocom system? Particularly in regard to where to connect the red power cable. My understanding is that it should be wired into the red and yellow lead that goes into the aux power socket. If this is correct what is the best way of accessing that lead? Or ...

Has anyone made a trip to Tuscany at all? I am looking for the best route/stopover points , missing out the motorways and autoroutes/strada where possible but need to get there in 3 travelling days. My guess would be to try to break the back of the trip on day 1 and then take it a bit easier on the ...
