Re: Front brake question...
Has yours always been like that? I'm about to get my 12k service, and was really hoping it was a sign of the brakes needing service. I don't remember it being like that, but from 9-11.5k miles it seemed to have become exactly as you described.

Re: Buy 2011 Bonneville SE and keep the R1200R
I wish Triumph would do a version of the Bonneville that was more like the Ducati sport classic line. I don't like the looks of the SC's, but it's a solid blend of performance, classic looks and components. No need for crazy performance, but enough to make it fun without overpowering the suspension....

Re: Buy 2011 Bonneville SE and keep the R1200R
I actually have both, on '04 Bonneville, and an '07 R12R. Can't argue with having both, but the mileage i put on is about 15:1 in favor of the R12R. I actually use the Bonneville most for riding when my wife is riding her bike as well, or when riding with people i need to consciously stay slow for. ...

Re: Starting Anomaly
I had a pretty similar issue on my 07, definitely the same symptoms, one turn stop, cough. I would occasionally see better results if pulling in the clutch, which was just a red herring in the end. Dealer tried two new batteries, checking sensors etc... and long story short the starter was replaced ...

Re: Intro and thoughts on R12R vs MTS (Ducati in general)
"...after every test i have the same thought... "What a hunk of crap." " Hmmm...I don't get that at all. I've been on BMWs for a long time, but I just ordered a Monster 1100 as my second bike. There are times when I don't want to lug the shaft drive around, don't need the hard l...

Re: Intro and thoughts on R12R vs MTS (Ducati in general)
Go find a S1000RR. Put it in "rain" mode to keep things safe. Snap on the throttle and hang on ! That bike will get your attention if you can fit the peg setup =D> Or... lets wait for the new slant 6 and see where that goes ! :-k Yep, the S1000RR is pretty much all i ride on the weekends ...

Re: Intro and thoughts on R12R vs MTS (Ducati in general)
You guys make me laugh! The R12's torque is 115nm@6,500rpm try and find a motor that equals that? While your 150hp rear wheel bike is trying to get its power down to the ground I'll just nip up the inside of you. Also try and find one that has the same luggage carrying capability, and one you don't...

Intro and thoughts on R12R vs MTS (Ducati in general)
Hi all, I don't post much but have gotten a ton of valuable info from this board, so a big thank you to all the posters. I've been riding for about 20 years now - about to turn 38, and got my first bike when i left for college, because i couldn't afford even the crappiest car that could get me cross...

Re: R12R VS F650GS: which engine is smoother?
My wife has an 09 G650GS which i believe is the same bike as the 07 F650GS. I have an 07 R1200R, so i can answer this one with some direct experience. To me they are not comparable at all in terms of "buzzy-ness." Driving the 650GS over 70mph is annoying to me after 15 min or so - where th...
