Mark, I read about this on MCN online this morning and when I got home from work this evening my recall letter had arrived.

Re: Greetings and an introduction.
'Ow do' from another Northerner Peter and welcome to the forum. You live in a nice part of the world I see. The RR is a great bike that is easy to love. Sometimes on my daily commute I forget its qualities and think I'm getting bored of it, but once I go on a proper ride I realise just how good it i...

Re: Buffeting begone!
Nigel, how are you doing? I said I'd contact you in time for the Imbolc festival but it took place sooner than I remembered so we missed it. Sean Hi Sean I'm not doing too bad mate thanks, hope you're ok yourself, glad we've nearly shaken off winter and can get some miles in soon. I was at another ...

Re: Buffeting begone!
I'm thinking of splashing out on the Wunderlich fairing as not only does it look good but i also think it will stop the buffeting as it should direct the airflow around the front of the tank. Can anyone enlighten me on this please :-k This is what I've been thinking too. Although it looks good that...

I hope that I don't have a similar experience; I could do without forking out for a new exhaust!
Ignorance is bliss.
Any pics?

I washed my RR on Superbowl Sunday and it proceeded to snow in south Louisiana. Yikes ! Hell really did freeze over, and flying pigs have been reported

Nice looking bike Josh...Got to be a keeper.
I spent hours cleaning mine on Sunday but it rained yesterday and snowed today. Looks worse for wear again already.

Re: Tank Bag of Choice
9Schwein, the only part of the bag that touches the tank is the lower rear curve that matches it's contour. Over time the material sags and with weight in the bag it is in permanent contact. That said, most tank bags have a much larger contact area with the tank. There are some marks at that point o...

Here's a picture of mine in action. The map holder is detachable but does not come with the bag.

Re: Tank Bag of Choice
I have the Bags Connection 'Quick Lock' City bag from SW Motech . They do a ring adaptor for the RR which replaces the existing fuel tank ring (although someone on here has modified one from a different model I think). Not cheap admittedly but sits off the tank and goes on and off in the blink of an...

Re: Sad day yesterday...
I agree about the black ice Mollygrubber but my bike is my only transport, although my 'other half ' has a car. There were a couple of days last year when I had to rely on public transport because of heavy snow but those days are relatively rare here in Blighty and my commute is only a few miles. Ev...

Re: Sad day yesterday...
On my commute this morning it was -2c in my part of the world according to the OBC, and the car drivers at work verified this. Not exactly extreme compared to some places but nippy nonetheless.

Re: Another newbie
It could have been me Nigel, as I say I pass through Marsden reasonably often when I'm on the bike. I asked about the neighbour because my 'other half's' colleague lives next door to someone who supposedly has an R1200R. I thought with Marsden not being a huge town it could be you. She has since inf...

Re: Another newbie
Nigel, sorry for not replying sooner but I've been away for a few days. I know Marsden as I go to the Jazz and Green Man festivals and sometimes stop there for a smoke break when out riding. I'm from Hyde so only down the road really. You don't by any chance live next door to a tall fair haired gent...

Re: Another newbie
I'll be amazed if this works! A few pics taken two weeks ago when I went to see some friends in the south of England and returned home through Wales (camping). I do have some more but the quality is poor on most of them. Anyway, here goes.... http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy280/seamus0161/th_mi...

Thanks for the welcome Peter. I did do a search but was in a rush earlier so didn't give it my full attention. I will try to get it sorted and post a couple of pics ASAP.
