Have to agree with you bill!
It's a nice bike but what are you getting over and beyond our bikes?
I've only put 8,000km on mine hardly enough to trade it in!
My bikes white could go the reverse paint job and have a black strip!

Re: Power Source
I pulled the GPS plug out on mine last night. Remove the plastic panel on the front of the tank. Facing the bike, it's down the left side, zip-tied to the front frame. Needed a flashlight to see it and some needle-nose pliers to reach it. But, on Ozzie bikes, isn't everything backwards? Left-...

Re: BMW Nav
I bought a Ztecknic bar mount and there water proof wallet that takes a GPS. Both items cost me $118 with shipping. I bought a $139 4.6'' screen car GPS with FM radio, mp3, blutooth, touch screen, 3.5mm head phone jack, and will play video and stills through it's screen from HD card. What's that all...

Re: Why you should always wear protective gear & clean under
Do you have any photos of the bike and the crash bars. I am thinking about buying the SW Motech bars and would like to see how they held up. Roger L Don't you think that putting the crash bars on restrict ground clearance? That may have been the cause of this guys accident. I know if I had them on ...

Re: Gotta Love Riding in 50 MPH Wind Gusts
the R12R goes where I point it, no matter what the wind. Unlike the K100RS!!! Absolute poo in a side wind. One of the sale pitches for this bike was that the fairing was designed in a wind tunnel. Maybe for a front on wind but the side wind is a different story. Back in my late twenties I was riding...

Why don't you use your education and give the people fact rather than your mock! Look I'd like to appolagize, probably had one to ma...

Re: Carbon fibre A Arm
I agree with you Kieran---I almost like my R12R more than my S, BUT---I still love the insane second wind that sweetie gets when it hits 6300 RPM. Plus, it has that more 'raw' race bike feel (non linked brakes, ABS can shut off, higher seating position). It's kind of like my Ferrari in the garage--...

Re: Carbon fibre A Arm
Rolando33, I had a R12S for about 18 months. I blinded it out with ever carbon fibre part possible. The carbon wheels I have on my R12R wore for the R12S. What happened was I put my R12S in to have a heated grip that was out with BMW under service warrenty. They lent me a R12R for a loan bike. From ...

Re: Carbon fiber A Arm
Maybe someone can answer this on carbon fiber. I have three bikes in the garage that are 30+ years old they are in good shape and just as serviceable as when they were new. What is the service life of carbon fiber when exposed to sunlight for years? I've seen carbon fiber body parts a few years old...
