Re: It's my turn, Final Drive rebuild.
Hi all, yep, I've just had to have all the bearings in my final drive replaced after a failure of the main bearing. There were metal shavings everywhere and I figured it's just safer to replace it all "while I'm in there" than have to go through the whole procedure again. Now going to have...

Re: Indicator (turn signal) problems.
Hi all, once again thanks for your input into this. It turned out that it was the switch unit on the left turn signal switch which was faulty. Disassembled the unit, soldered in a switch from a scrapyard and all works again!

Re: Indicator (turn signal) problems.
Hi again and thanks for the valuable information. I don't know anyone else with an r1150r so have ordered a used indicator relay to swap out and test...if it turns out not to be that I'll stick it on Ebay and at least I'll know for sure!
Cheers!

Indicator (turn signal) problems.
Hi everyone, I wonder if you'd be able to help me out. I've had a problem with the left side indicators (turn signals) on my '02 R1150R for the past couple of days and I've got a horrible feeling it's going to be a complex to identify and costly one! On a long, but slow and traffic filled, commute h...

Re: Rider new to BMW, Riding 370 miles home, advice welcome!
Well, I flew down, got my new R1150R and rode her home. The first 20 minutes or so were quite a readjustment with different indicators and quite different handling/feel than anything else I have ridden, however... The rest of the ride was fantastic, and feeling that level of power versus smaller bik...

Re: Rider new to BMW, Riding 370 miles home, advice welcome!
Hi everyone and thanks for the amazing response! I'll take all of that on board. I had heard about the indicator (blinkers) setup and am looking forward to getting used to that :? The bike that I have now has blinkers that have to be manually reset so apart from being on the other handlebar it shoul...

Rider new to BMW, Riding 370 miles home, advice welcome!
Hi everyone, I'm a new to BMW rider in Scotland. Been checking through the forum getting a feel for the kind of things to look out for in a R1150R and finally settled on a bike. '02 model, 38000 on the clock and excellent condition. Hoping to be able to pick her up middle of Feb and then have a 370 ...
