After your post last night I went and read through all 12 pages of you thread. Wow - you really have put a ton into that bike!
Yes, something was definitely wrong with that RT because that R was the bomb!

Re: Just test rode an R1200R - Wow!
I test rode the RT twice, a couple months apart and once solo, once two up. I think it just must have been the extra 80 pounds of plastic, and all that weight up high. The engine seem anemic, the ride not as smooth, very uncomfortable seats. There was honestly nothing I liked about it either time. W...

Re: Just test rode an R1200R - Wow!
You are SO right-on with your comments about the C's looks and engine. I love everything about the look of the C, except the ride. I'll keep though. I had fairing and wind sheilds of any kind. A super small on to keep the wind off my chest is fine as long as it is unobtrusive. I like naked bikes, pe...

Just test rode an R1200R - Wow!
I've been looking for my next bike (currently riding an R1200C). Test rode an R1200RT a month ago and hated it. Test rode an R1200R today and WOW. So THAT's what a 1200 boxer engine is supposed to feel like. Super smooth and peppy. Love it. I wish my C rode like that. I think I'm going to have to ge...

Advice on buying '95 R1100R
Hello all. I've been lurking for quite some time but don't post much. I'm new to here but not to BMW motorcycles. I have owned an '01 R1200C Phoenix for four years. I'm looking at a '95 R1100R in great condition with 20K miles on it. Can you please tell me what else I should look for with this bike?...

Re: Nolan N43 Trilogy Helmet Ride Report
I can second this review of this helmet. I had been on a tear to find a new helmet for quite a while (since last year) and I tried the Nolan N103 flip face and then the Nolan N43 Trilogy. I wrote up long review with a bunch of pictures over at the Chromeheads forum. If you want to read it and check ...

New guy, question
Hi, sorry for the cross post but I posted this in the Rockster area yesterday but there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity there and time is a factor. Since these questions would apply to an R1150R I thought I'd try it here! Hello all. I'm new to this site, but not to BMW motorcycles. I own an R12...

New to site, looking at buyring a Rockster, need feedback
Hello all. I'm new to this site, but not to BMW motorcycles. I own an R1200C Phoenix that I love. But I've always loved the look of the Rockster as well. I'm looking at one locally right now. The price is great, just over $5 grand. The bike seems solid and well cared for. It has 33k miles on it. I'm...
