Re: frame re-alignment
Does anyone know what other bike frames will fit my 2005 R1150R? Specifically it's the rear frame set. Will the 1100r, 1150rt, or 1150gs work?
Seems cheaper to just find the part than to pay someone to straighten it. I live in Houston, BTW.
Any knowledge appreciated!

frame re-alignment
So I got into a wreck. Truck turned left in front of me and I turned sharply to have a glancing blow. Engine and side case took the brunt of the blow, the side case shattered on impact. I was wearing full gear, but my foot twisted inside my hiking boot, tearing the skin apart. Looking from the rear ...

Re: Bouncing tachometer
It bounced from about redline to ~5k. The bike ran strong while it was happening. I never got a chance to see the Harley rider's face. He wasn't wearing a helmet, but I never looked back either. Mirrors were pretty buzzy, and I then moved into full tuck. He must have thought he was the fastest thing...

Re: Bouncing tachometer
AirForceDirt: Yes I am aware of speedo inaccuracies, and top speed limitations of this machine. The point of my post is that my tach was bouncing, and I'd like to know what the cause of that is. And my words were that I was "approaching redline in 6th", I have no idea how close I was becau...

Headlight pattern insufficient
My '50r highbeam seems to have an improper spread. It points down in front of the tire instead of piercing the night. I've tried pivoting the headlight assembly up, but this makes the lowbeam shoot into the sky. Do I have a mangled reflector assembly or something? Would an aftermarket bulb fix anyth...

Re: helmet strain/position
I just got the X-11, and I agree that it's more efficient in a slightly downward position. I'm sure it was designed this way with racers in mind. The engineers spent a ton of time going over the aerodynamics on this helmet for its intended application, and the ideal position is a racing tuck, not a ...

Bouncing tachometer
I was cruising home from school one sunny afternoon, just chugging along at the speed limit, when this Harley rider passes me at about 90 in my lane! :-k I let him go, but then decided to give him a taste of what I've got. Maybe it wasn't the smartest thing to do, but that's outside the scope of thi...
