First time I've seen this thread.. Kudos for a job (very) well done. How about a youtube link of the bike in action.ECB wrote:Considering mine was started in 2005... perhaps the inspiration was the other way?

Re: can't find MV Verholen risers for R12R
I was looking around for the MV Verholen risers for an R12R. Can't seem to find them anywhere. Do they exist and where can I find them? Thanks in advance. I have a pair for sale - see photos and contact info in the Buy / Sell section. $200 shipped in CONUS (which should save you about a hundred buc...

Re: Test Ride Feedback - R1200R and R1200GS
Welcome aboard, great review. I had a GS - loved it. Sold it for medical reasons (wasn't sure I was going to be around to ride - but here I am!). Since I'm not an off-roader, when the time came to replace it, I knew I wanted a boxer Beemer, but wasn't sure which one. I demo'd a R12R - more than once...

In addition to the upright seating I also want to add a windshield. I am 6'1" with a 30" inseam. What shield should I buy? Oh, boy.. where were you two months ago?... ;) We've beat the windshield horse until it's no longer recognizable. What works for me might not work for you, but the co...

Re: Another day.. another recall..
I don't remember seeing any Harley bashing on THIS forum. In fact I think that I once mentioned that IMHO a black Road King with the hard bags and WW Tires on spokes is the prettiest bike on the road. BUT: First let me say that I also have a cruiser bike and have ridden for a bunch of years (and st...

Re: Another day.. another recall..
So.. lessee here.. I have a '02 Harley Road King that I've never had a recall on, yet this makes the second recall on my '07 R1200R which I haven't owned for a year yet.
Yup, that sho' does justify all that Harley bashing that I read about in so many m/c forums..

Re: YOU YANKEE RIDERS
I use one, and frankly, it helps - for a while. But (just my .02 cents, of course), the stock seat is so bad that after 200 miles - with the sheepskin in place - my arse is screaming for relief. I recently bought a lightly used stock R12R seat, my intention is to send it to Sargents to get a custom ...

Two words, "pain" and "suffering", and remember this quote, "I never have a good day".

The turn signals do hit the tank at full deflection: http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n302/peter_anon/DSC00133.jpg Tell ya what, if that was mine, I'd grab my handy-dandy Dremel and trim down those turn signal levers before I'd let 'em anyhwere near the tank. As hard as you're going to try not to...

Re: Please help me with a measurement
It's going to be a tight fit. I just went out and measured mine (I too, have Verholen bar-backs), and with the mirrors and windscreen removed, I'm just over 46.5 inches. Without the bar backs, I'd probably get a half-inch, but that wouldn't leave much room for maneuvering the bike as you load it. :-k
