Re: 200k mile club?

Here's a good article on BOA about on the road maintenance on a K75s with 90K and a R1150r with 123K miles, a good read.

http://www.bmwmoa.org/bike/tech/general ... n_the_road

note the date of the article Nov 04, I wonder what milage it has now.

Thanks everyone, I'm still smiling  Buckster the 380 screen came on the bike as part of the touring package and was great for the ride back form Montreal, kept the wind blast off my shoulders and some protection for my head in the rain. I took it off because I like the sportier look of the FlyS...

Red R on the Rock (not good for dial-up)

Hello everyone Back in September I bought a new 2006 R1150R in Montreal (sight unseen over the phone), and then had a long wait until I could go and get it, June 2007 to be exact . After allot of planning and allot of waiting I finally went to get it. My friend who had been prodding me to buy the BM...

Hi Everyone. I've been visiting this site for well over a year and it was big part of the reason I bought the R. I live in Newfoundland Canada and flew to Montreal in June to get my BMW and ride it home, since there is no dealer here on the island. I'll post a trip report soon with more pictures, bu...

Great pictures Joe I have to pick up my new R1150R in Montreal the begining of June and drive home to Newfoundland and was wondering what you did as far as the break-in goes during your ride. Did you stop for cool downs and if so at what interval/length, or anything else you did during the ride, eg....

Thanks ScooterCop

I got 4 mounts before I pick up my new 2006 1150r and every bit of drool material I can get helps pass the time. On that note is there a higher quality version of the promo i can get my hands on.

Great job

Thanks

Thanks as well from Newfoundland

I just purchased a 2006 1150R, and I know it's a 2 Spark which is different from the manual above. Is there any other differences which would make it not a valid reference to use, or should I get the one for the 2004's and newer.

Thanks

Shane

That's the plan. I plan on stopping there and get the 1,000Km service (Montreal to Dieppe is 1017Km) then do the regular oil changes and stuff myself. I can ride back to Dieppe for the 10,000Km and so no. Part of the reason I picked this bike was the ease of service. The Harley dealer here has a goo...

I have been looking for a new bike for a while now, saw the R on BMW's web site and fell in love. I then found this forum and have been here ever since, scanning it for every ...
