Vibes Throughout the Rev Range...
...were horrendous at 6k rpm before 7.0. Now it's gone, but I do notice weird vibration/lash sound emanating from the gearbox or engine or the body work at around 2500 when I downshift comin' up to a light. I took out my earplugs the other day and really noticed it. Otherwise, 3500 rpm is the smooth...

Wouldn't Start
I rode to the gym where the bike sat for about 90 minutes. When I came out to start it, the engine would run for a second, then quit. It did this twice, then would just turn over, as if fuel-starved. I tried to gas it, but this didn't work either. I waited for about another 20 minutes, and started f...

Right On, Big Papa!
Thanks for the know-how. I figured erroneously that each thumbwheel moved each beam up or down.

Adjusting Headlights
If I want to raise the low-beam, do I turn the hexagonal thumb screw? Seems simple enough. I can tilt the entire assembly up or down, but I tried to turn the thumb screw with a lot of resistance and it doesn't seen to raise or lower the beam.

Tire Pressure
Should I increase tire pressure over spec slightly to compensate for my 275 lb weight?

Blipped the throttle...
and she stalled at a traffic light last night. I tried to replicate these conditions later and the tach would drop below idle but not stall.

7.0 Did the Trick!
Just got my K1200R back from the dealership to have 7.0 update with 300 miles on the clock. Of course, the maximum allowed engine speed during break-in is 7000 rpm, but at about 6200 I experienced horrendous vibration from the engine and super snatchy throttle response at low rpms. Guess what? The 6...

K1200R/R1150R Comparisons
I considered trading in my Ferro Blue Roadster initially because I didn't like the rear-end feel. After test-riding the K its capabilities compelled me to look at the 1150 as unfit for my type of duty. I didn't need a rocket ship, but I did need a stable freeway mount. What was I asking of the R? To...
