I ended up installing a set of R1150R bars on my F800ST.

I now have for sale a new set (take-offs) of 2011 F800ST bars including the OEM bar-end weights.
These are in perfect, new condition with no marks or scratches at all.

My F800ST has heated grips but the wires are on the outside of the bars.
Thanks for letting me know the R1150R heated grip bars had the wire hole in the center.

I guess it would be ideal for me to find a set of R1150R bars that came without heated grips.

How do the Wunderlich compare to the R1150R bars as far as height?
Are they lower that the R1150R bars?

Did the R1150R ever come without heated grips or were heated grips standard?

Where are the heated grip wire holes on the R1150R handlebars?

I too am looking for a set of R1150R handle bars.

Ahhh, to tell you the truth I don't have the bike with me as it's in winter storage.
I just assumed since it had heated grips that the wires would run down the bars.

Ah, same height as me.

I decided to go the bar back route and do your mod as well.

I have an 8 year old daughter that I will take on mini trips.
I figured it would be easier for her to hold onto me the more upright I was.
This in addition to a top case with backpad seems the safest.
