Has anyone tried this? I am maxed out on the rear preload on my current shock, and I would like it to be a little stiffer. I was wondering if the Rockster shock would be an alternative to Ohlins? Yes it would. The bike will have sharper handling as previously mentioned. I just happen to have a used...

Enjoy that new Tuono there Momo! I've had an '01-R for just about 5 years now. What a great machine! But, I still miss my Rockster. I was practically given a set of close to new (2K miles) Rockster shocks. They have different BMW part numbers from the R1150R Roadster, but in Ohlins and Wilbers they carry the same number. I guess they will install. Anybody knows what the differences are between BMW Roadster and Rockster shocks? ...
