Re: Potential R1150R Owner!
Hi PeTTey, I'm in Montreal too. I bought an '03 R1150R last year, with ABS, flyscreen, and system cases and I paid $9K. The bike had 7,500 Km and it was at the dealer (Moto Internationale). I use my bike every day (and almost every weekend) to commute and it's a fantastic bike. It now has 16,500 Km ...

R1150RT seat on an R1150R?
Hi,
I have a 2003 R1150R and I'm wondering if a R1150RT driver and passenger seat would fit. With slight modifications maybe? What do you guys think?

Ordering parts to Canada
Since our dollar is at an all time high  I think this would be a great time to order parts from the US. I was wondering if anyone has ordered anything from A&S Cycles to Canada and if there were any issues or any unpleasant surprises like duty charges or DHL or FEDEX "special extra cha...

Sorry about your accident and I hope you get well soon. You mentioned wearing full protective gear. Since you now have experience first hand the brunt of an impact like this, is there anything in your equipment that you would change/upgrade? I'm asking because I'm looking to purchase protective gear...

Thanks for all the comments. The baby is fine. He started daycare a couple of weeks ago so he is catching everything. My wife had the same comment about the Shining hotel. As grand as it is, it also look kind of creepy... For the longest time it was also closed for winter due to lack of insul...

Quebec Vermont New Hampshire Thank god for heated grips
I decided a couple of weeks ago that I wanted to do my last big ride of the season riding the roads of Vermont, New Hampshire from Montreal, my home town. I had driven numerous times to the White Mountains region, Mount Washington more precisely, the highest point in eastern North America at 6,288 f...

Thanks for the answer! I actually bought one but brought it back last because I was convinced the values were in ft/lbs instead. I seemed way too high from what I was reading in the oil change tutorial on the board. Only when I got home did I realise that it was in inch/lbs... Oh well. It loo...

Torque Wrench question
I'm looking to buy a Torque Wrench to perform basic maintenance on my R1150R. Things like oil change, FD and transmission oil. I'm looking at a model that's 3/8 and has torques values of 30 to 250 inch/lbs. It's 16 inches long. Would it be sufficient for doing most basic things on the bike? There is...

Was glad to see you picked up your bike at Moto Internationale in Montreal. Same place I took delivery of my red R1150R. These guys are a class act!
Planning a trip around Quebec City this weekend. Weather should be way better than what you guys had!

Finally got it! + Question about shifter
New to this forum, but I have been checking it for a while. I bought my first BMW, a 2003 R1150R Piemont Red. The bike only had 7300 Km on it and I have to say that I am more than impressed with it. I got my first great comment today. As I was leaving work, a guy and his girlfriend stopped to check ...
