After changing tensioner the engine remained quiet after long rides as well

My experience.
Symptoms:

- for a second or two tapping noise from engine after starting
- running cold engine- no noise
- when hot, tapping appears again (just like an diesel engine )

After upgradeing Cam tensioner all symptomes are gone, just pure and sweet sound of boxer engine.

Any success?

Hehehe, you are not alone :) As matter of fact- I am able to look at 2 different sets of cylinders- one is R1150R and another 1971 made Dnepr K-650 . edit: seems previous owner has combined an universal head lamp unit... found one which looks same and costs under 10 EUR.
Ebay seller do not transport outside UK.
