Pretty easy
I am pretty laughable as a mechanic and I did it myself. Assuming you are looking at the same things I am thinking of, there were plugs to be knocked out, the mounting bolts threaded into them. They were pretty tight as I remember, but I was able to reach through from the opposite side and knock the...

nice job!
Nice job! And thanks. The pictures show exactly what I needed for the cases. I was sure it was simple, but I'm also an 1 1/2 hours from the dealer and have actually never paid attention to what they looked like mounted. I am tryng to make my cool weather 80 mile RT commute a little more pleasant and...

pictures would be appreciated - system cases and rockster
I have three items I hope to get done on the Rockster for the weekend, fitting the GS handguards, the Wunderlich Trimm Windshield and BMW System Cases. Although none of this looks terribly difficult, there are no directions (well I have them for the windshield but other than the words User Manual an...

System case speed
Would anyone out there with system cases on the rockster comment on top speed and handling? I am planning on this purchase this year and would like to hear some real world observations to go along with BMW's recommendations. I have, on occassion, topped the 80mph mark  and certainly expect tha...

I'll order one. That is, if I can find a link to order it in English. Can anybody help with that? TIA I emailed them at http://www.bmwsantacruz.com - the Wunderlich distributor and although it has not yet made it to the website it is available. There are three style for the Rockster, this looks to ...

I was also ready to change the seat and raise the bars at first, but decided to wait until the bike and I knew each other. I am now good with the seat, but may still raise the bars. I believe size and body shape play a role in comfort. At 6ft + I still have to rach down to the bars, but a riding bud...

Nolan
I like my Nolan N100E. This is DOT certified, not SNELL, but there is some research out there showing this as a plus. Either way it fits well and works easily for less cost than some of the others.

Red light changers
Does anyone out there have experience with the devices that change stubborn red lights? This rockster does not seem to have enough metal to trip some of my local signal lights, forcing me to "run" them
from time to time.
