I picked my new R1200ST up on Wednesday (my wife had gotten hers the previous Thursday) and we left Thursday morning for the RA rally in Tennesse. Thanks Dean, and everyone else, for your responses. Yes, hog-heavy was in reference to the 720-something pound K12RS. It looks like we will be going ahead on one for my wife. I'm torn on the second because I really do love my Yellowjacket. But the engine improvements are really attractive. Bulldog

I wish my family had done stuff like this when I was a kid too, I think that's why we do it now. And, having a wife who rides, makes it easy to say, "Hey, let's take off for 17 days on the bikes!"

My wife, son (and his stuffed Tigger), and I took our annual 2-week summer vacation on the bikes. We traveled through the upper Midwest and Canada, ending at the MOA national rally. It's a little long, scroll down for the pictures.

My wife is 5'2". She started on a 650GS but now rides a K12RS. We did most of the above, but also bought lower profile tires to give a little more. She is still on her tip toes, and has to be careful and slow speeds and in tight parking lots, but wouldn't give the bike up for anything.
