Re: Exhaust System for the Rockster

I bought my "new" Rockster with a Sebring Twister with Y-pipe. Has a nice sound. https://scontent-a-ams.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/1456581_392356170898213_11566736_n.jpg However, I'm thinking of installing the cat, combined with my home-made shorty. Great sound and the clear view at the rea...

If it fits a R1150R, it fits a Rockster, no matter what year it is

Re: Kennys mean grean machine in NZ

You should be able to identify your bike by entering the VIN at http://www.realoem.com/bmw/index.do. Surprisingly you seem to have a BMW 320i from the States :? Maybe it's because I am in the Netherlands, so try it yourself in New Zealand. A very good site for downloading owner manuals and workshop ...

Re: Headlight bracket (front panel carrier)

The Rockster-brackets are definitely alloy, as I can tell when mine "exploded" when I crashed my previous Rockster. And indeed, they are expensive and hard to get second-hand. Here in the Netherlands is a webshop that has a couple of used ones in stock at 65 dollars (50 euro) a piece. I do...

5800 Euro's for a 2004 Rockster with 14662 kilometres?
Buy it!
I paid 6990 euro's for mine half a year ago; a 2003 with 15693 kilometres (in the Netherlands).
With "Special Edition" I guess you mean the 80-Edition (White and black)?

I loved the Roadsmart 1, now have a "new" Rockster with BT021 fitted; hate them, especially in cold , wet weather.

Re: Want to buy a R1100R

Hi Johan, I don't think the R1100R is the right bike for you. With your length, the riding position will be very upright, maybe even leaning backwards, due to those stupid handlebars which are not adjustable. Handlebar-conversionkits are available; I fitted mine with LSL-adapters and an LSL superbik...

Re: Rockster carbon fibre availability

The front fender is a good idea as is a piece to replace the pillon seat with a storage space. Something with a hump that is a little larger (higher) than the outside dimentions of the orginal that locks up the same. You mean like this ? I don't know if it's still available; Wunderlich don't mentio...

I have the BMW-handlebar from LSL, which is the only bar that's suitable for heated grips

Re: best tire advice for 1997 r1100r??

Never liked the Bridgestone BT's, lacked grip under cold and wet conditions.
Had very good experiences with Dunlop RoadSmarts under my Rockster, and will put them under my R1199R soon as well

Re: '95 R1100R Low Fuel Light Issues

Seems we're riding the same bike 8) . I have the same problem with my fuel light. When it's cold, it won't go out at all, now it's getting warmer it seems to work better. But I'm used to an extra light on my dash right now, and even a little worried when it's out ;) Riding hard over a severe bump wi...

Yep, I've noticed the same (one of them).
Tried to tighten it, but didn't succeed, so I guess there's a lot of loctite used

Try to find a speedo from a written-off European Rockster en replace the background.
Mine would have been great, but I forgot to take it with me....

:)
In Dutch it is "geiten stront bruin" (goats hit brown) \:D/
