OK thanks for clearing up that mystery. So when bleeding the brake, I have to remove that liner so the fluid can drain through the system, then when complete, add the brake fluid to the reservoir to the max level, attached the liner (collapsed) on the cap, and screw the cap onto the reservoir?

Hello all,
I want to wire an accessory plug from the battery to the handlbars. I found the perfect plug, but I have to ground the ground wire somewhere around the handlebars. Does anyone have some helpful suggestions on where to ground it? Thanks.

Thank you everyone that answered my post. Next Spring I'll reconnect the wire and see what happens. Maybe my fuel efficiency will improve.

I got the photo of the connector and wire I'm talking about. But can't figure out how to upload it to this message board. Anyways I think it's used for diagnostics, I just don't know what the cable is used for.

I've taken pictures of it, and I'll post them on here as soon as I can get them off my camera.

I'm a new owner of a 2000 R1100R. I noticed that under the driver's seat is a cable and a plugin for the cable, but I don't know what it's for. I couldn't find mention of it in the manual.
