that's fantastic. what was the alleged infraction? I find they are sympathetic when they see that you're far from home and on a bike. Assuming you're being respectful of course..
I was considering making this trip...poor timing. It will happen though. stay safe, all.

Got home safe yesterday, was a full day: washed both vehicles, hour of exercise, almost scored a free bike, attended daughter's art show and even scored a potential buyer for Mike's magna.
When I went to wash the bike, noticed something odd...
Home without incident, but a little damp. Good to see some old faces and a couple of new ones. Patty & I had a great time at this terrific venue and more than a sampling of "top shelf" vittles. Thank to Daryl Stamp for setting this up and to the "Old Lion" for suggesting the location/lodging.
Lots of suggestions at dinner last night for a BBXIV location down south next year.
Daniel (my son) and I both made it home without any incidents, and he got to experience 300+ miles of riding in the rain...
Here we are at Sodus Point, on Lake Ontario:
We had a great weekend - I turned over 147,000 miles on my way home. The odd thing is my odometer indicated 957 miles for the weekend and my son's Triumph indicated 915. We were together all weekend...

Thank you Darryl for arranging a great venue for this years Beakster Bash. The Three a Bear Inn was a perfect place with great food, a bar and reasonable prices. It was good to see everyone again. When I got home I told my wife about all the wineries we passed riding and she couldn't understand why we didn't stop and visit them. Now it looks like I have to plan a trip with her so she can visit the Finger Lakes and several wineries. Kevin and I rode home through the Catskills and had a good dose of curves around the Cannnsville And Pepacton reservoirs and through the Catskils.it dried out nicely on the way home. Looking forward to next year. The Bash is always a great excuse to get out and ride somewhere interesting with friends for 4 or 5 days!
I got home around 5, after 542 miles of riding today. I had a great time seeing old friends and new. I will post some pics, etc tomorrow. I traveled I-86, and was able to just roll along in a light drizzle about half of the way.
