Does anyone ever change the fuel filter at 12K miles?
My '03 Yellowjacket is in for its 12K service in couple weeks, I thought I'd do a bit of the easier stuff myself (as I'm building a bit of spannering confidence) and so got a 12K service kit from MotorWorks here in the UK:

It's the 3rd item down, contains sparkplugs, oil/air filter and a fuel filter. Was just working down the RR's maintenance schedule and saw that the fuel filter is at 24K (or 12K if poor fuel quality).
I'm happy to hang onto the filter & O-ring until the 24K service, as I might fancy doing that whole tank-removal and weird pump/filter assembly (some of the threads and photos on these forums have been very helpful with that by the way
Aside from learning more about the bike, I was hoping to save a few pennies by not having the dealer do *everything* - so is it safe to assume that the dealer *won't* replace the fuel filter at this 12K service?
I have to admit, I did get a great kick out of popping the old sparkplugs out and the new ones in - I've never gotten as intimate with my RR until now! And 20 minutes later I kicked myself when I drained the gearbox oil and misjudged the trajectory, missing my drainpan by miles and covering myself and the garage floor
