One of the first things I do to my bikes is replace that "kill switch" with a "dead man's switch"..... more efficient dontchaknow. I like to wrap the rip cord around my neck, as it eliminates the unnecessary waste motion of having to look, grope around for, and reach with my thumb to trip a bright orange switch during a parking-lot tumble.

Oh and as a side, and I choose NOT to use Royal Purple in the final drive anymore. Instead I fill it with WD-40, you know.... that multi-purpose "water displacement" stuff? And when I change it out, rather than tossing it...... I use it on the bathroom mirrors as a defogging agent, clean crayon markings off the hall walls, rub into my sore joints, and stir some in with my kelp/psylium and grape juice in the morning.

Kill switch, kelp, and WD-40.... don't leave home without it!

Hey Pat, I heard WD-40 is also good for cleaning cat poop off of your kitchen table as it discourages a repeat deposit unless your cat is really vindictive. I wouldn't know for sure, as my dog always holds it till we come home, then rushes outside to use the end of the back yard.

as these bikes don't have a fuel-valve i always use the QD's to stop the enigne running, so the engine stays clean :smt044
only verry occasionally i use the KS : at night when it's verry dark, kill the engine first the lights remain on so i can find the centerstand and thentake out the key

The kill switch used to come in handy when faking a hard start. There are situations where that is a good idea.
