Remus exhaust, "db-eaters"

Good morning (at least in Sweden..). I'm wondering if any of you know if the Remus Powercone and Revolution come with a removable "db-eater"?! That would be a big plus for me since all racetracks are quite picky with noiselevels...

Revolution (Removable Insert) Slip-On: Revolution is an insert feature allowing the owner to convert a baffled sport silencer into a straight through race can. No repacking ever. Canister in a Bolt-on version does not require a connector pipe.

Jag har fortfarande standardavgassystemet. Jag ÃƒÂ¶nskar att jag hade rÃƒÂ¥d med en Remus (en fin Revolution i svart) men jag har svÃƒÂ¥rt att motivera kostnaden. Jag kanske lÃƒÂ¤gga pengarna pÃƒÂ¥ en ny 08 R1200R sadel istÃƒÂ¤llet!

I still have the standard exhaust can. I wish I could afford a Remus (a revolution in Black Satin) but I cant really justify the expense. I might spend my money on a 08 R1200R seat instead.

Is the 08 seat different from the 07?!

According to the reports it is the only change on the 08 bikes. I am hoping that it will be more comfortable. I usually love the seats on BMWs but the one on the R1200R isn't very good for longer trips.

I'm guessing the new seat isn't going to be more comfortable for the rider but only for the pillion based on little I've read about it.

The Bos Boxer technology oval endcans are also very nice and do feature a removable db eater(not very easy though but it's doable and I don't know how it compares to other systems). I have a carbon fiber Bos on mine and love it(only riding it without the db eater). Best thing compared to other brands is the steeper angle in witch it's placed(remus revolution has the same angle as the original one) and it's also placed closer to the rear wheel for a sleeker tighter look and still won't interfere with systemcases.

Here you go! You've got a good look on the angle here and the smaller distance to the rear wheel.

Love the steep angle of the BOS with will still alowe for systemcases to be mounted.

BOS is also a lot closer to the rear wheel with makes the bike look realy tight from behind.

P.S. the Bos decall is still laying un used in a drawer some where.

I have the powercone with the removable baffle - simple process as it is just held in place with a snap ring.

Do any of you guys know if the BOS is being sold in the US? Of the after market cans I have seen it is the one I would be most interested in hanging on my bike.

I'm afraid that Bos doesn't have dealers in the usa. There ares ome german and austrian e-bay sellers and maybe they do ship to you allthough there site says only european distribution. If this is interesting or not I can't tell.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. Yeah, I can't tell if it is interesting or not either as english is my only language (and rather poorly at that) but a quick google of euros verses $$$ tells me that it would be about $800. And I'm guessing that's just for the can.
