Good morning all.
Just took my Rock out of storage (underground parking spot) yesterday. Reinstalled my battery. Installed new air filter. Bike started up. Let it run for a bit and then noticed fuel dripping down the fuel lines (quick connects). Also noticed fuel leaking from underneath the tank. I let the engine run for about 3-4 minutes and it continued to leak....it was more of a steady stream. The next day, I started the bike up again and let it run for a few minutes....NO LEAKING. This happened last Spring went I took it out of storage....it leaked the first time I started it and the next day it had stopped.
The quick connects seem to be properly seated.....I can hear the 'click' sound when they snap in.
Thanks in advance,

Re: Fuel leaking
Believe it or not that is one of the problems of fuel lines that have been fitted with compression clamps, like the ones you see on the quick connects. When the bike is laid up they loosen tension as the hose shrinks under them, once the hose starts to heat up with the bike use it expands and the clamp tightens. That also surprised me whe it first happened and like you observed it will stop after use.
The best bet for your peace of mind is to replace all the clamps with FI clamps, the ones with a banded bolt and nut, not the common radiator clamps.

Re: Fuel leaking
Thanks for the reply. I thought it had to do with something shrinking over the winter and then re-expanding again once the lines were in use.
Thanks again.
