Helmet/Bike Cam?? Pov and/or ContourHD

Post by Shaman »

Thinking about a bullet cam.
ContourHD records in HD
Pov1.5 allows viewing and is pretty much bullet proof (though almost 2x the ContourHD)

Anyone have experience with one or the other and any opinions?

A little slow noticing this post, but there is also the GoPro Hero. I've found some of the mounts to be a little fragile when installed in high vibration areas and ridden on rough roads, but the helmet mounts may work out OK (haven't tried yet).

It's fixed focus and has no exposure control other than auto shutter speed, but the images seem quite usable.

Seen it. Not interested in riding with an actual camera on my head.
One wipe out on my snowmobile and it would be toast.
Thanks though.
