A Group Of R1200Rs

Post by vodka »

With the photo of a group of R1200Rs from mvk. It begs the question what officially could we call a collection of R1200R's. I dont think this has been done for another bike. Perhaps even getting this valdated by BMW

Suggestions?? A swarm? ; A Schwarm ; A Gruppen?; A spear A waiting (like in the add "its not parked ,its waiting"0 of R1200Rs Maybe a final forum survey.. I bet this takes hold in the urban mind.

I wonder how the owner of the black R12R feels about being the slowest one there?

OK OK, enough with the black bashing.
Just because everyone one else with a color besides the Classic Black has feelings of inadequacy and needs to poke at our superior machines all the time...
I've had it!

LOL OK, OK, your point has been made. How can we defend against pictorial evidence?
Although upon reflection all this REALLY proves is that the owner of this particular Black (with pinstripes) RR is crazier than the rest of us.
You owe it to yourself to go buy a Desmosedicci, Mr. Finn. :D

From this angle of the same ride, it could be a brute of BMWs...

But Chitown's photo which I have seen before, is one of the most brilliant I have seen of our marque (in spite of its colour)

Must be a "Fleet", as they are only seen fleetingly.

Like Ravens "an Unkindness". Cool name but it doesn't feel right for our bikes.

- a 'class' of R12R's

- a 'perfection' of R12R's

- a 'sublimation' if R12R's

- a 'culture' of R12R's

- an 'elegance' of R12R's

and last but not least (my personal favorite)

- an 'erection' of R12R's

:D

So Far.....

A Swarm of R1200Rs
A Schwarm
A Gruppen
A Spear
A Waiting
An Onslaught
A Zeal
A Fleet
A Pride
An Unheard
An Unkindness
A Class
A Perfection
A Culture
An Elegance
An Erection

Get out that thesaurus and keep em coming....
The term should encompass the origin, extraordinary capability, security/safety , value, performance and as we all know from experience, the intellectual exclusivity of this bike.
Your bad choice,no one else to blame.

Here are my suggestions ....

A Gaggle
A Herd
A Congregation [many have religious experiences on theirs ... LOL]
A Deluge
A Trupp
A Tumult
Great Unwashed [especially true in my case ... grin]
A Faction
A Horde
A Compendium
