Hi all
Just picked up a 2003 white and black rockster with 58 000km on the dial. I have a few questions for those in the know.
1. how do you check the gas level? and what type of gas to use?
2. what are the routine maintenance items that may need investigating?
3. anyone have an owners manual for the bike on the web they could pass along?
That is all I can think of for now, but will probably have some more later.
O yes, any other good websites to look at for bike info on the rockster?

Gas: 89 octane is fine.
There's a green "low fuel light" that will come on when you've got about a gallon of fuel left.
The trickiest routine item is checking the oil level.
Hmmm. The Ed 80 did not come with a center stand, so the standard "oil level dance" can't be done easily. However, if after running the bike and leaving on the side stand the oil is at midpoint or higher in the sight glass, your oil level is fine.

just to add to this - check the oil when the bike is vertical.... if you check the level and top it up while the bike is on the side stand you'll overfill it, (by quite a way!!)
If you don't have a main stand, get a friend to hold it upright, or lean it very slightly against a wall - ie so that the bike is only a degree or two off vertical (towards the wall) and check it then. (keep the side-stand lowered just in case...)
