Chitown's California Howdy.... and I've seen these "Howdy" in Texas and Louisiana... but I used to think that another driver was telling me "your number one."
No brag just fact.....

I'm glad to see the toe drags before the cylinder head. Thanks for the picture.

Actually in Louisiana this is the "Universal Sign of Friendship". New Orleans area is especially "Friendly". They shoot at each other quite regularly

I'm 66 next month, so my R, anyway, is an old man's bike. Funny thing, though. When I ride with my (44 year-old) son, who has a Ducati ST4, It's the boxer that people oo and ah over, pretty much ignoring his race-ready crotch rocket. Pisses him off no end.

Funny you should say that, when I ride with my wife she always gets a crowd around her F650GS and I'm the red-headed stepchild...

Speaking of age and wisdom... do you ever have those moments, despite the years, when you see a sentence and think to yourself, "wow, i have never read that before!" Ride on, Frederic, ya crazy bastard!

Well , I am an old man and this IS the bike for me. So the statment "The R1200 is for old Men" can be true sometimes. Rumor has it that it can be for young wimmin too although I can't verify this.

In my experience, many of them LOOK... until they see the white beard in the full face helmet. Then it's: "Next." And I'm left only with my fantasy and a fine motorcycle. ;)

Lucky you, I think the 'reality' is often underwhelming. I'll stick with the fantasy and the bike.

Your friend was being optomistic. It is actually much earlier. It's more like you become to old for women who still care about men. wink wink

Really depends also on the amount of money you have.. a lot of money can delay this by a considerable amount of time..
