Re: wide throttle open running issues
Sorry to be so late to the thread but where in the world are the stick coils found? I'm not experiencing any problems but I am curious to a fault

Re: wide throttle open running issues
The stick coils are what you pull off the primary spark plugs before changing the plugs. Those long plug connectors that reach through the valve cover are actually the coils. It sounds like they fail from the heat that comes off the engine. So far mine have worked properly (knock on wood).

This is a copy of an earlier post, thought it might be of interest.
Might be a possibility as a replacement for the factory ones
If for no other reason than cost, and possibly better longevity.
They come with plug hardware, but must be used with a CD
ignition system - don't know if ours is considered that or ??
Ran across this while looking for something else
I know they are a respected electronics mfg for the hot rod industry
