Re: Windshield Bracket
Is Don C or anyone else still making these blocks?
Don C wrote:I've made a few more of these this afternoon, five to be exact. Plus one shorty for experiments. These are a bit nicer than the first one, since I discovered how to wrap sandpaper around a big glass beaker to smooth the inner curved surface. All of these have been test fitted on my bike, and they fit. But don't expect perfection in dimensions or finish, these are handmade. I'm grumpy because my arms are tired from sanding, and I don't really want to be in the business of making a lot of these. So I'm overcharging on purpose, I'll take 20.00 plus 5.00 shipping. The first buyer can send the payment to our site admins to buy a site membership on my behalf. Paypal preferred please. Send me a PM if you want one.
edit, I forgot to mention, M5 X 45 mm torx head screws are included.

Re: Windshield Bracket
I received an email from Joe at Cee Baileys. If someone in the LA area has a 2011 R1200R that they can let them look at, they can finish up the '11 Windshield. Any volunteers?

Re: Windshield Bracket
I received and installed my Don C block last week. I bent the windshield bracket using the method suggested here and it worked like a champ. Here are a few pictures of the installed block and a Cee Bailey’s 18” windshield. I’m very happy with the way the block and windshield look and even happier with how the windshield performs on the road.Don C wrote:If you happen to have two big crescent wrenches around, 12 inchers work well, you can do this. Wrap an old towel around the flat part of the bracket, then put the crescent wrench over that and tighten it up. You want it close to the tube. Then use the second crescent wrench to twist the first one. With the two wrenches this is pretty easy. You want the lower loop to sit all the way down in the bottom of the hook shaped part of the support. Bending the flat parts upward will do this for you.
