I ended up buying the sport screen - the dealer had one in stock. I must say I'm rather pleased with it. It is everything I thought it would be. It's loud. However, it's not any louder than driving with the windows rolled down in my car. The wind hits me somewhere between my chin and visor depending upon how I'm sitting. So, I don't feel like a parachute. The air on my helmet is very smooth - hurray! I may install a Lip at some point but I have other things I need to buy first.

has anyone tried the 380 bracket with a Cee Bailey or Cal Scientific screen compared to the OEM 380 shield? I like the 380 bracket and want to know what the best screen is for it? I'm 6.0 with a Sargent seat.

No, but I eventually switched to a little BMW sport screen due to the loud wind noise. A bit deafer than I was a few years ago as a result.Pardon?

The little screen is MUCH quieter and provides adequate protection in fair weather. The wind only gets to my neck at 80mph plus which is an incentive to slow down my cruising speed.

I've had the 380 for a long time, no plans to change it. I am almost 5'8 and have the tall seat. The wind buffets my helmet a bit but if I raise my head or were just a little taller I think I would be in quieter air.

True. There isn't a one-size fits all/most for screens. Whether discussing fuel, oil, seats, tires, exhaust systems, etc., every success and failure story for the bikes and users are (forgive the literal and obvious) anecdotal. What works for one rider won't necessarily work for another.

I have the sport screen, but took it off and put on the speedster. It isn't perfect, but it suits me. To be blunt, I'd rather go without a screen, but have come to appreciate some deflection of bugs and rocks and the protection that the screen gives to the back of the instrument cluster. In order to adjust the angle of the screen, I purchased some thick rubber washers and added them behind the screen at it's upper attachment point (on the mounting hardware). I had tried an add-on deflector screen from Wunderlich, but it created new turbulence and too much vibrational noise, so I returned it (before you ask, yes, I tried multiple configurations and none worked... for me). I did love the concept, just not the reality of the execution.

I did that also, but with metal washers. I tried the upper bracket and the lower at different times. I found the differences were noticeable, but slight, and no improvement over the out the box configuration.

At hundreds of dollars at a pop, I am going to just stick with the 380. I can say I like it far better than my experience with the touring screen, which kept popping loose because of the poor design, imho, of its securing with well-nuts.
