Does anybody know how much it would cost to put new shocks on?And what would be the best kind to put on?

Ohlins, cost for the shocks runs around $1400 from Kyle Racing. Might seem pricey but they can and should be rebuilt every 20-30K miles. Price out replacing with BMW oem shocks for comparison.

Wilber also makes a good shock that can be rebuilt, not sure of price, ordering info, or contact. There are plenty of folks on the site with Wilbers that will hopefully chime in soon.

Nice set of new tires to complement the shocks and you will be amazed at how crisp the bike handles...

That rather depends on where in the world you are...
If I had to change mine I'd go for Ohlins replacements.....good shocks with an excellent reputation.

Just bought some Wilbers last night for 1367.00. I can't comment on how well they work as they build each set of shocks to order. It's way more than I wanted to spend, but I think it will be a huge improvement as my shocks are @ 54,000 miles and the front is shot. They actually have some for less money, bu they didn't have the adjustability as the ones I ordered.
When I priced out the Ohlins, they were about 1800.00.
