I assume the OP is talking about the front telelever. A-arm or wishbone is what automakers call their control arms for their suspension.

That being said, Beemerboneyard has one right now. http://www.beemerboneyard.com/teleleveraarms.html

The A-Arm of the R1150R (Rockster uses the same but in ferro color) is rare like the famous blue mauritius. You have to be patient and keep trying everywhere. But chances are slim to find a used one. You could however also use the a-arm of the R1100R/RS/RT/GS or 1150GS - it looks ugly but it can be used. In this case you need to a-arm as well as the long axle which bolts the a-arm to the engine as well as the locknuts and shims being used for the particular a-arm (it wont work with the axle for the R1150R a-arm!).

Or you go see your stealer and shell out mucho $$$ and buy a new one ...

Yeah, I know that. I just never heard the term used on a motorcycle.

The whole set-up on the oilhead is called telelever and the a-arm is just the a-arm. By the way beemerboneyard does not have a R1150R a-arm (tubular). They just have the odd sheet-metal a-arms used on the 1100 and some 1150 models. Those a-arms are usually cheaper to get via e-gay.

If you find an a-arm and have to remove the ball joint, you'll need a 1-13/16 socket. Funniest thing, I just happen to have one. I'll sell it to you for 50% of what I paid - $18 (plus shipping). It even has an adaptor to mate it to a 1/2 inch drive wrench. You'll have to heat the arm before removing the ball joint.

Pls reply to [email protected] as I don't watch this site very closely.
