I may have expanded / re-edited the Chris Harris video re the slave cylinder; here's the correct link for that the factory-bleeder-fitment removal sequence :-

and the slave cylinder replacement sequence:-

Two essential jobs to go along with the clutch friction plate mod job on our to-do list this winter....
Millions of thanks as usual going out to Chris H and of course Esmir for his brilliant conception of a 6mm thick washer for the short hub.

Re: modified r1150 r clutch hub
So far so good regarding the clutch hub installation, the bike runs great. At only 12,000 K, there was no wear on the splines. A friend recently had a dealer install a new clutch disc in his R1150GS at 100,000+ K, and there was very little wear on the splines. No spacer had been installed. The key is to keep the RPM's up, not to lug the motor.
Re: modified r1150 r clutch hub
Any wear is an unacceptable. As soon as the joint is allowed to have play, more wear is inevitable.carl1957 wrote: very little wear on the splines.

Hi Esmir,
My son Tim last week split in half during my absence in Spain my 2004 Rockster with 34K miles (UK miles) on the clock, to check for any clutch-plate / transmission shaft spline wear - result is seen in this non-listed, not public 4 minute Youtube video for your interest.

That is good news. Do you have the bike together yet? I am glad that it worked out as expected. I am still holding my "free narration" coupon for future use.
