A last minute opportunity came up for the weekend and I wanted to get away so I figured I would try a much smaller Ease beakster bash II. I plannedon heading down to the Durbin/Bartow area and stay overnight with my son. Thursday afternoon I was having a hard time findin a place to stay. To sum it up, I finally found a 'rustic' cabin just south of Green Bank, WV. I think my shed was larger, and had more amenities, but it was a roof over our heads. Saturday morning we headed out on a long leisurely ride to the area. Got down there around 5:00PM and found our cabin, but a few miles up the road at Boyer Station (some of the sprin bash attendees ate dinner here Friday night) I saw why there weren't any places to stay - the Annual Cass Motorcycle rally! Lots-o-fellow BMW bikers - I pointed a few roadster owners onto this site os we may get a few more members? Ate breakfast with a few riders at the rally (they were nice enough to share their table).
All-in-all, great weather, great weekend, ok lodging. Looking forward to the next ride!
I'll get some pictures posted soon.

Wow - summer's almost over! I finally posted the pics from this trip.
Memorial Day in Cass, WV
Sorry it took so long. I took my son with me on the roadster, and one of my good friends Alex, on his K1200GT. The cabin was well, cozy. One main room which served as the kitchen/dining/living room, and two lofts in the rafters as bed rooms. The extension on the back is the full bathroom - at least it had the basics. Not a bad place, but for $80 a night, was not worth the money.
The next day we went to the Greenbank observatory (Most of the East Bash attendees made a visit) and took a looooong route home. Overall a good trip, although I would have to say the cabins weren't a good value. Everything else was booked up that weekend due to the Cass rally.
