On my 7th Honda Civic - dating back to a 76 CVCC that did 195K miles. All have gone over the 140K mile mark - except the last 2 that have been wrecked by others. Currently, an 04 coupe EX, at a constant 36-38 mpg, I am not complaining.
Also have a 95 Toyota Tacoma with 158K miles.
The secret to longevity? - I wrench them myself.
Also, on my second R - 1st a 1100 that was wrecked by a friend, and now an 04.

1997 Audi A6 Quattro w/ 127,000 miles
2003 GMC Yukon XL Denali (yes, it is huge, with a 6.0L V8 engine)
Both are all wheel drive. I live on a big hill in the "snow belt" of NJ, so I need AWD. I did own a Subaru, but my ex wife got that.
My favorite car was a 1989 Porsche 911 Targa.

Yet another Subaru owner. My commuter vehicle/truck substitute is a '96 Outback wagon with 140K + on the clock. Absolutely the best snow vehicle I have ever had! It will be my son's first car soon and when we get him something "cooler" after he proves himself, I will take it back! Provided it survives him for a few months!
Until a few weeks ago, we were a two Subaru family but sold my wife's '00 Outback and got a used Accord. Dull but reliable and good on gas!
My oldest son is driving a '01 Tacoma truck and unless he wrecks it, it will serve him until college graduation. They should run forever.

'97 318 TI, the most functional BMW ever designed (holds my David Eden twin cabinet bass rig and Jazz Bass, along with folding hand-truck without a complaint or scratch).
Gets 32+ mpg at 80 mph. I've driven it like a loaner since new (160K) with no forced repairs. Best money I ever spent.

"Pull over Mike....we need to wait for the Harleys...they've got the food."
Recently traded my 2001 Honda Prelude SE for a 2005 Mazda 3 (4-door & sporty huh??).
I've changed my auto philosophy a few months ago.
The car is strictly utility and used to get from A to B during the winter (groceries during the summer). So I've opted for the least expensive set of 4 wheels (ignoring the KIA's and Hyundai's of the world).
My vehicle of choice is a motorcycle and right now I'm loving my R. This is the method of transportation I won't cheap out on

I have a few rules when buying cars, always buy American, always buy used, never a mini van or SUV. I used to be able to justify these rules. they don't seem to make much sense anymore, except the minivan one. Currently I drive a 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo. I am an American muscle car fan. They were great in the 60's and early 70's, now they are mostly crap.

No subaru here (aren't they the 'lesbian car')?
Actually, that's the Forester model.
In my 'stable' there's a new Chrysler Pacifica (wife wanted it, kid loves it) and a 2005 Toyota Prius Hybrid. Also, there's a 1995 Pontiac Sunfire GT my wife has had since she graduated college, but it hasn't been started since last november.
Hey Leno, I'm averaging low 40s for gas mileage. How are you getting 52?
I had a 2000 BMW 323i sedan which was a hoot to drive. Got rid of that for a Jeep Liberty then got rid of that last month for the Pacifica.
My next car is this http://www.maserati.com/jsp/newModels.j ... dgimdfmf.0

My 3 other rides are a 2001 F-150 Supercrew, a 2003 Vibe GT, and my favorite ride is my 2001 Corvette coupe.
