Taking a break from the bike

Post by bimmer83is »

Well, I didn't want to set the subject as "Rider Down" and scare you guys but I won't be able to hop on the saddle for a little while. Unfortunately I tore my ACL in my right knee during a hockey game on thursday night. I guess it was better to do it now during the winter months than the summer months since my bike does alot of hibernating these next few months. I don't really post too much but I assume I will be more now that I am limited to certain activities.

Vinny, sorry to hear about your knee. I hope the rehab goes well and the time goes quick.
My bike is away for the winter and this is the closest I can get to riding.:D

What a bummer!

Lesson here is that ice shuld be kept in small enough pieces as to fit into a short glass with bourbon.

Heal well.

Thats really too bad.

My daughter is a cross country runner who trains pretty darn hard. The following help keep her from injuries & I thought might help your recovery:

1- Physical therapy sport messages.
2- Titanium tape - stuff really seems to work
3- Ice packs & wraps & heat. There are alot of things on the market now. Check out runner's stores.

Good luck. Sounds like you'l be ready for the spring.
