New Years Day ride!

I managed start the new year right! January 1st was unusually warm, with temps in the 60s and beautiful. I wasn't going to post anything because I forgot my camera but near the house is a guy doing what Killboy does in Deals Gap, take pictures and post them for you!

This is a popular area road, with lots of cruisers riding to Lake Lure and a biker bar there. I ride it for the curves. This road is less than 10 miles from my house!

No problem at all. Nice apehangers!

I am jealous! We got a couple of inches of snow yesterday. It was above freezing, but there was slush and salt all over the place.

Who's that on the bottom center of page 11...black beak...pilion...both black helmets...nice turn...nice corner..........anyone here?

DJ - don't know who that is on page 11 (I stopped looking when I found my pics), although I think I saw that bike parked at a cafe later. The pics of me are the same corner, different spot. Notice, I did not cross the center line however!

We had some ice and snow last week, so some of the corners might have a little sand/salt combo to make it interesting. Summer time cornering is another matter though.
