Christmas in San Diego

Post by ProductUser »

Greetings!

I spent the Christmas holiday weekend in San Diego. All I can say is that the roads around San Diego are simply awesome! We rode to Mt. Palomar (nice ride if you like a lot of hair pin corners); we also rode highway 74 (tons of fun), highway 78 (Julian has the best apple pies) and PCH 1 to Laguna Beach. The ride to San Diego from Phoenix wasn’t too bad. We took I-10 to Blythe and then highway 78 to San Diego.

I didn't get a chance to hit all of the places some of you suggested, but I suppose I'll have to make another trip to San Diego

Below are a few images from the ride.

Nice, reeeal nice.

Aside from the beautiful day, good roads, and catchy breakfast plates,
I'm still awe struck with how handsome the Silver Roadster is. And the system cases look perfect on that color combination!

Welcome to the west coast for a little Liberal frivolity!

Tony, nice write up and great pictures. Isn't Julian a neat town. My wife and I go there to buy wine at the Witch Creek Winery. I lived in Lake Elsinore in "62". Went back two years ago and didn't recognize anything.
When I was there the lake was dry. Great riding in the Julian area. Glad you had a good time.

Tony, Nice ride report. That is a very beautiful place. My father-in-law lives in Lake Elsinore and it was a treat to show my wife the photo. She's never been there.

Then she loked at the other photos and asked me if we all took a course in how to take the Roadster's picture on the road. LOL

Scott --

I didn't make it to the Montenzuma grade. You guys have a ton of nice roads.

I'll be making at least two trips to San Diego later this year, so I'll let you guys know the next time I'm out there.

My next trip to San Diego might be in April/May for a week of golfing and riding. I'm going to FedEx my golf clubs to the resort
