Need a new battery

Post by mcollect »

2002 R1150R battery barely starts bike in the early AM. It is, I think the original, so it's time to replace it. Whay is the current thinking on a good replacement?

I just bought an imitation Panasonic battery for $35 from Apex battery. See this thread
http://r1150r.org/board/viewtopic.php?t=6068

It is about half the price of an Odyssey. It is supposed to be delivered today.

EDIT: see other thread. It was not a real Panasonic.

I installed a exide gell cell in my /6 5 years ago and like it.
I would not install another lead acid in a bike again.
My 04 (purchased in 03) has the original Exide battery in it and is performing just fine.
