Looks to be pointing at the steering damper to me, there to keep the front from tank slapping or being twitchy etc. :D

steering damper.



Dunno why it needs it, but apparently, BMW thinks it does.
I've seen a few R1100Rs with them, but exactly zero 1150s with them installed.
Maybe the steering head angle is steeper (quicker steering), or something unforeseen in the new telelever.....
The problem with the gene pool is that there is no lifeguard.

R1200R will, it seems with ease, lift the front, or make it light

My R1100R has one FWIW
