Ciaooooooooooooooooo........

Post by Illuvatar »

Hey guys....wanted to stop in and say thanks to everyone here for all the guidance, support, and general Rockster comaraderie...especially Riceburner, and DJ...you guys ROCK!!!

Tonight is the last night that my Rock will be in my garage as I'm returning her to the dealership where I got her (albeit some 12,800 miles later hehe) and picking up my bumble bee coloured 2006 K1200S!

I'm not only grateful to you guys...but for anyone new to ownership...I'm also grateful to the Rock itself. Through it, I've been introduced to a whole new world of riding. It's not just about transportation anymore see...it's about cornering, lean angles, apexes, throttle management, etc. etc. It's about "When's the next track day?" "When's the next class?" "Ooooooooooo....have you been on THIS road?" LOL

She's been a really fun bike for all of that...but...I've been drooling over the S for quite some time and it's finally come to pass. :D She even got me a decent trade in price with practically zero mods! The only thing I did was paint the head covers black and put those blue white bulbs in the headlights. Other than that, and city bags, she's all stock and they still gave me 7k. *is much pleased*

Anyway...just wanted to say thanks for everything, and I'll see you on the road!!! Keep the shiny side up fellas! 8)

Gees...it's sad to see your beautiful bike going from your garage....the Rock's and Beaksters are such great bikes aren't they.

But...you..lucky..lucky..lucky..guy...a K1200S...Wow!..what a step up in the world..

I would love to get one also....maybe a K1200R....one day...they're also bit cheaper.. :D

Take it easy on the new bike...maybe you should just go down to the local Police station and hand in your license right now... :D

Post pics and report on the new bike for us....I'm off to buy another lotto ticket..

Hey thanks guys! Making me feel all special! lol

I'll getcha some pics up soon! I snapped a few with her in my garage last night but haven't uploaded them to the pooter yet.

And thanks DJ...wise words as always. :D I really have no choice atm as I'm in the blasted brake in period and cannot take her above 7,000 but.....6,000 in 3rd put me around 80 mph so.... :P

I hope to not have to hand over me license as I'm trying to do the "with great power comes even greater resopnsibilty"...plus we've got a track day scheduled on Oct. 2nd so I should be able to get some speed jollies out there.
