I am finding that a couple hours on the highway is fatiguing on my 1150 R with only a sport screen.

I am looking at an aeroflow touring system.

What is working for the rest of you?

Are any of you within a 2 hour ride of Milwaukee so i could take a look at your system?

Two piece MRA adjustable screen for naked bikes. Think it fits to the same mounting as the sport screen.

Have ridden 5 hours plus on a few occassions and no wind pressure or turbulence. I'm 6'1" and on a standard seat.

Have Aeroflow Touring shield with Smoke colored ower {recommended}. Great improvement over anything stock, More protection that Cee Bailey. Other than the Hannigan fairing thats available , the Aero flow is about the best protection you can get. I am 5' 11' and this shield protects pretty well. Air hits my helmet near top {no buffeting} just a little wind noise. and air hits my arms. Rode in rain a few weeks ago ,light shower for 20 miles, and found it necessary to only wear the bottoms of my rain suit. I bought the tank wings at the same time. Besides looking funky they do a great job in deflecting the air. They created a space of still air around your torso. I choked a little at the price of the shield but now I'm quite happy I took the plunge

For touring I like the BMW touring shield. This winter, handguards will be in place along with this shield.

Also, just installed a GIVI A750 for local rides, I think this does a better job than the BMW Sports bubble...IMO.

For touring I like the BMW touring shield.

I have a Parabellum super tour shield that I have been very happy with but it is broken at the moment. Probably going to get another one after looking at other options. The BMW touring shield has a nice look but I wanted to know how well it works and what the height actually is. The picture on the website is a side view only with no specifics.

The BMW shield is 20" tall and 17" wide. I'm 5'7" and look over the sheild and have no buffing on the helmet.

I've been told that this shield http://www.ztechnik.com/products/index.html is better but I don't see much difference between the two.

I have a beautiful BMW 2002 R1150R and I enjoy traveling very much. I installed a BMW Sports screen on the bike but did not get much protection from the wind. Soon I got a BMW Touring screen, but the buffering was too much to handle. I went through three different helmets and many expensive and unexpensive ear plugs until I got the situation under control, I thought. In my late bike traveling throughout United States and Canada, I stopped to see my 75 year old Mom, who is a seasoned motorcycle rider and has a great love and admiration for bikes. Somehow it came up in the conversation that I am getting old and it is getting harder and harder to do 700-800 mile a day trips. My Mom took one look at my bike and said: “You are too young to get tired from an 800 mile ride; you just have the wrong windshield on this bike. Your Dad would never travel long distance with a screen like that.” I had to listen to my Mother. After all, she spent 35 years riding with my Dad all over the Europe, Asia and Siberia. I searched the Internet for a better windshield and found an AEROFLOW. I was very skeptical about the shield but ordered it anyway, since all the other shields on the market looked almost like my BMW Touring screen. Finally the BIG box arrived and I thought that here comes my new barn door. To my surprise, the windscreen looked very nice and the hardware is very sturdy with an excellent finish. Installation instructions are very easy to follow. In a short time my new AEROFLOW Touring windshield was installed and it actually matched my bike very well and looked very nice too. My wife calls it a BATMOBILE now. I could not wait to take my bike for a test ride. I drove 30 miles to my BMW dealership and was surprise to hear that my mirrors are wobbling and it is so nice and quiet behind the windshield. No buffering and no wind hitting me in the chest. After arriving to my destination I realized that in the hurry I forgot to put my earplugs in. This is the first time I rode my bike without earplugs. Next day I took 500 miles ride and was very happy with the screen. I think that AEROFLOW TOURING SCREEN is the best protection from the wind for our R1150R's
P.S. I paid $524.00 and it came with the tankwings.

I ride with the newer BMW high screen on a R1150R. It takes all the pressure off my chest and doesn't seem to increase turbulance around my helmet. It is louder in terms of wind noise, but not with ear plugs. seems to keep the roadster look yet give the best protection short of a fairing. Good luck
