Clear turn signals

Post by danstl »

You will probably need the yellow bulbs as well. I think the stock ones may be clear. That was the case with the R1150R.

.....uh, hit new post rather than a reply. Sorry moderator.

Bulbs

Post by danstl »

Not sure....when I did them for my R1150RA, I bought a kit from someone that included the bulbs. I know you can buy replacements form BMW shops and probably auto parts. I keep my bikes in a storage locker since we live in a high rise. The next time I get over there, I will pull one and let you know.

Hi Celticus!

The BMW part number: 07119905580

and the brand: Philips 12093RY 10W/12V

This should get you yellow bulbs i think!

Bulbes arriwed this weekend, but not the lenses. The general importer in Norway was empty at the moment.

Sorry Fred, it's morning already.
As best I can remember BMW has made it so that regular bulbs like an 1157 will not work properly. The locating slots on the sockets in our turn signals are not the same as what is commonly found. They will not match up perfectly to the locating pins on a bulb you can find at an auto parts store. Now that I think of it though I filed one of the pins off of each of my bulbs to make it work and it has been in there working for almost 3 years.
