My friend had this problem. After taking the final drive of the bike, he was not able to find the tool to take that seal out. He took the final drive to the dealer and paid $75.00 to replace final drive seal. I picked up my bike today from the dealer for the same problem. I paid 2 hours labor $140.00 + $8.00 final drive seal + $28.00 Needle sleeve + $10.00 Synthetic oil + TAX.
To take the final drive of the bike and put it back was worth an extra $70.00
If your are going to do it your self, look out for 2 needle bearings on each side of the drive shaft.
