Mark, Thanks for the nippynormans web site! I've been looking for a front fender extender for my R.

R1200R front fender extender

Post by andyman99 »

I just received the front fender extender I purchased from Nippy Normans. I haven't installed it yet and am having second thoughts.

According to the directions, the extender is held in place by two pieces of doublestick tape, and four screws. The screws have to be installed through the original fender (yikes) and into the extender, seemingly rather close to the tire.

I'm not sure if I want to make holes in the original fender.

Also, the extender is flat or matte black, and not gloss black like the original.

The matte black wouldn't bother me but making holes in the fender sure would.

Thanks for the tip about drilling holes (ouch!) in the front fender. Think I'll continue to look elsewhere. Thanks for the post...
