This next series is some of the attendees from our recent, twice yearly local (small town) Car & Bike Show.
I guess it would be best to break these up into several posts.
Enjoy...
Edit: I know you don't want to see these.

Darth, even though you think I'm a dingle, I'm big enough to compliment a nice bike when I see one. Your R may be the nicest one I've seen...next to mine of course
Guess that makes me a big dingle, which is never a bad thing to be called!

Thanks for the compliment on the "2nd best looking" 50R!
As for the other, I don't even remember what it was we were fussing about, don't care.
Every day we get to start over!
But c'mon...at least register on the freakin' board even if you don't want to send any dough (not sure I'd blame you for that).

Yep DJ..."Hoochie Mama" is mine and I love her just as much as that girl who gave me my first....well, you know...
The riding sensations are somewhat the same, it just lasts longer on Hoochie.

Darthrider, thanks for the great pictures. You know you are getting old when all the stuff you used when they were new and high-tech are now in vintage shows and museums...

When I started the "Eye Candy" thread at the end of October I hoped it would be one of those that hung around for a long time. Maybe even be desrving of a "sticky"...like that "stick your flag" thing that is being is being so heavily promoted and lightly supported (don't let that type of "content" become what this site is about...it may be too late).
But I didn't anticipate 131 posts and 6856 views in such a short time.
I can say this without bragging because so many of the images were not mine, but boys & girls, we were treated to some of the finest images on the Internet or anywhere on..."Motorcycles".
But since none of them actually were of R1150R's I know now they should not have been posted on the R1150R Main Topic pages, but on the less travelled "Off Topic" page. One I often thought of as "The Obits". Which is about as interesting to most as "The Outhouse" section.
Now I realize they were posted not only on the wrong topic but on the wrong board.
Mainly R1150R subjects such as kill switch, ABS, which tire, what tools for an oil change, fastest color, etc. belong here. Pretty heady stuff, for sure.
For that reason I am not asking that these hundreds of images be moved to Off Topic, but am deleting them altogether.
Zap, they are gone...and I am not even an Admin or Mod...I am surging with "power"! (One of Doug's favorite terms)
I do find this very interesting: I went back 10 pages on the Main forum and found that "Eye Candy" was the 2nd most popular thread, 2nd only to Randy's (Rchops) great story about the constructing of his cool little BMW 259 boxer-engine custom. The interesting thing is that *neither* of these threads are R1150R based, and yet are maybe the 2 most popular ever, certainly in 10 pages! I didn't check but I suspect Dallara's fascinating story of the Honda NR-500 race bike was 3rd and would likely have eclipsed the first two had it continued. Interesting that thread now has over 5000 hits and yet is buried in Page 2 of "The Obits".
Sounds to me like, Doug & Mods, that there is a serious "market demand" here for non-R1150R topics. Go ahead with the party-line that they should just be posted in the right place if you will...more smokescreen to avoid the real problem. "Tolerated" is very different from "welcome & encouraged".
If you like being rid of these non-R1150 images...thank Doug.
If you don't like being rid of these non-R1150R images...thank Doug.
Welcome to "Doug's Board".
The real "Doug's Board".
Whaycock: Feel better with me not "wasting" all this bandwidth?
EDIT: Should anyone want any of the images I posted for your collection, I will be happy to email them to you.

Gee Darth, I could have saved you a whole lot of trouble if you'd have asked.

Ah, that's OK DIZZY, no prob.
But no comment on the content or message huh? How "telling".
And thanks for moving "Eye Candy" to "The Obits" section...that's where it belongs now.

How so? I moved his thread to Off-Topic. He's right that's where it belongs. I think the point he's trying to make is a little extreme. This thread is motorcycle related enough to get by in the main forum, but he seems to think differently, so I moved it. There's another thread in the main forum right now that might qualify more as a "Group Ride". It is also R1150R related. I'm scared to move it to be honest with you. If I move it I'll probably piss someone else off. And yet either way I am contributing to the problem.

Well it just seemed to me to be too quick a reaction to help someone delete valuable input to the board without for one minute stopping to ask the question "why would you want to do that?"
